Tim Cronin hat uns ein gutes Jahr zur Proficiency Prüfung vorbereitet. Die Lektionen waren sehr zielgerichtet und haben sich hauptsächlich an den Richtwerten des Proficiencys orientiert. Inhalt der Lektionen waren Strategien zur Bewältigung der einzelnen Aufgaben, die Vergrösserung des Wortschatzes und das Kennenlernen der grammatischen Feinheiten. Die Writings haben wir jeweils zu Hause geschrieben und Tim hat sie in der nächsten Lektion korrigiert retourniert. Trotz des intensiven Unterrichts, hat Tim den Prüfungsstoff stets mit viel Humor vermittelt. Er ist sehr kompetent und geht auf unsere Fragen und Anliegen ein. Wünsche betreffend des Unterrichts nimmt er gerne entgegen und setzt diese auch um. Thanks to Tim, we all passed the proficiency exam!

Für meine Vorbereitung auf die IELTS-Prüfung blieben mir nur drei Monate. Dank Tim wurde das Unmögliche möglich: Er konnte mir sehr genau zeigen, was wo verlangt wird, schätzte mein Niveau zu Beginn richtig ein und förderte mich dementsprechend, sodass ich das benötigte Resultat sogar bereits nach zwei Monaten erreichte. I attended the course without much knowledge about the IELTS-exams itself and idea how to prepare for the IELTS. Therefore, Tim helped me remarkably. I thought the training was very effective. Normally, for IELTS parts writing and speaking there is no immediate feedback, so it is good to have somebody with insight into the topic. I thought the training was very competent and it gave me very useful hints which cannot be found in a book. Durch deine motivierende und professionelle Unterstützung habe ich gelernt, die Prüfungsvorbereitung anders anzugehen. Ich habe gemerkt, dass du mich ohne Umwege ans Ziel führst und die Übungen genau auf dieses Ziel abgestimmt sind. So kam ich viel effizienter voran, als wenn ich diesen Stoff selber aufgearbeitet hätte. Du hast mir praktische und umsetzbare Tipps und Tricks gegeben, mich korrigiert und auch immer wieder ein konstruktives Feedback gegeben. Wichtig fand ich auch, dass du mich herausgefordert hast. I decided short-term (2 weeks before) to do the IELTS Test but had no idea how complex it is. I asked Tim for help and took the Crash Course. Ich kann Tim wärmstens weiterempfehlen. Er weiss ganz genau was es braucht, um das IELTS mit dem gewünschten Resultat zu bestehen. Er kenn sich so gut damit aus, dass seine Tipps gold wert sind. Hi everyone. Greetings from Hong Kong. After purchasing the ielts writing correction service, I finally got 7.5 for writing (i got 6.5 before). It is really helpful to have someone correct your essays, so you should ask Tim for help if you are stuck on 6.5!

Für mein geplantes Auslandsemester in Melbourne brauchte ich eine 6.5 um überhaupt akzeptiert zu werden. Da ich dies jedoch erst 2.5 Wochen vor Anmeldeschluss erfahren habe, musste ich die Prüfung so schnell wie möglich ablegen. Da ich überhaupt keine Ahnung vom IELTS Examen hatte, entschied ich mich, bei Tim einen Crash Course zu besuchen. Und dies hat sich definitiv gelohnt! Ich schloss das Examen sogar mit einer 7.0 ab. In kürzester Zeit hat Tim mit mir alle relevanten und möglichen Prüfungsteile durchgearbeitet und mich bestens auf die Prüfung vorbereitet. Der Unterricht ist dabei immer wie im Fluge vorbeigegangen und es hat echt Spass gemacht. Ich kann Tim also bestens empfehlen und danke ihm herzlichst.

Er hat mich ideal auf die Prüfung vorbereitet und meine Schwächen zielgerichtet ausgebessert. Ich kann mir keine bessere Vorbereitung vorstellen und kann Tim zu 120% weiterempfehlen. Neben seinen Fähigkeiten als Englischlehrer ist er sehr sympathisch und aufgeschlossen. So waren die Lektionen mit ihm nicht nur Pflicht, sondern haben mir auch viel Spass bereitet. Go for it !

Um in der UK studieren zu können, musste ich den IELTS ablegen. Als ich nicht wusste auf welchem Level ich stehe habe ich mich nach einer Einstufungsmöglichkeit umgeschaut. Bei der ersten Adresse meinte man, dass ich es nach einem halben Jahr intensiv Kurs evt. schaffen würde den geforderten Score zu erreichen. Daraufhin wante ich mich an Tim für eine Zweitmeinung. Seine Einschetzung war, dass es mit 10 Lektionen möglich sei das Ziel zu erreichen.
Den Test schloss ich, nach den 10 Lektionen, und noch vor dem ursprünglich geplanten Termin, mit einer Note höher als nötig ab.
Abschliessend möchte ich noch erwähnen, dass obwohl sich die Vorbereitung bei Tim auf den Test und nicht auf die Englische Sprache im allgemeinen richtet, ich viel von dem was ich gelernt habe auch bei meinem aktuellen Job anwenden kann!

Für meinen Bachelorabschluss brauchte ich das Ielts Diplom und fand in Tim einen perfekten Lehrer für die Vorbereitung dafür. Tim konnte mich in allen Bereichen unterstützen und gezielt fördern, sodass ich mein Ziel über meinen Erwartungen erreicht habe. Die Lektionen mit ihm haben Spass gemacht und ich hatte jedes Mal etwas dazu gelernt. Ich hatte noch nie einen solchen Englischlehrer zuvor! After having done different language courses I finally found for what I was looking for a long time. High Flyers is an excellent company. Tim, my teacher, quickly understood what level I had and what he had to teach me. Each time I was astonished about how helpful the materials and advice were. I did an advanced preparation course. The lessons were well prepared so that I improved my English skills in an incredibly short time. After the lessons at High Flyers, I always went home with a big smile as I had the feeling ‘Yes, I can reach my goal… and I did!

J’aimerais te remercier de ton aide qui m’a permit de passer TOEFL bien mieux de ce que j’ai pensé! Je suis absolument sûr que sans ce travail avec toi je ne pourrais pas obtenir des resultats si bon: sur 120 points j’ai eu 90, dont 23/30 pour reading (high score!), 20/30 pour listening (tout juste j’aurai eu aussi high), 23/30 pour speaking et 24/30 pour writing ce qui m’a donné la note la plut haute aussi. J’ai énormèment apprecié comment efficacement tu m’as appris à écrire des essays: ca a marché! Et aussi comment me debrouiller quand je dois parler en utilisant de bon expressions. En tout cas, si je dois repasser cet examen une autre fois dans ma vie, je ne vais pas heister de reprendre des leccons avec toi. Merci encore! Et je vais certainement conseiller aux autres étudiants de prendre contact avec toi.
